Darrell Swanson — a devoted husband, proud grandpa, retired Air Force veteran, and lifelong dog lover. In 2015, Darrell and his wife turned their shared passion for dogs into a mission to make a difference, founding OTCK9 Academy in Woodstock, Georgia.
Together, they’ve built more than a training facility — they’ve created a place where dogs of all temperaments, from those with severe behavioral challenges to those just needing a little direction, can learn, grow, and thrive. With compassion, discipline, and a true understanding of canine behavior, Darrell and his team are dedicated to ensuring every dog that walks through OTCK9’s doors gets a fair chance — and every tail has a reason to wag again.

Kim Swanson is more than the co-founder of OTCK9 Academy and a retired Air Force veteran — she’s the heart that keeps it beating. After proudly serving her country, Kim redirected her discipline and dedication toward her lifelong passion: dogs.
What began as a small, home-based dog care business quickly grew into a community favorite, thanks to Kim’s natural ability to connect with every pup she meets. Her calm energy, compassion, and intuition make dogs feel instantly at ease — they just seem to know she’s one of the good ones. When your dog meets Kim, they’re not just meeting a trainer… they’re meeting a new best friend.
